My thoughts on Chantal

I first heard of Chantal when she came to my city with Amanda Marshall.
At the time, I wasn't really a big fan of music. By August, though I had become
a huge fan of music videos and was quite addicted. The first video I saw of
Chantal's was Wayne. I loved it so much I went out to buy the CD, but it was
sold out! I did get it a month later. MTV hasn't been too welcoming. Her videos
have been criticized there more than played. I think that someone like Chantal,
who has real talent with singing and piano, should be more popular than those
un-talented rappers Puff Daddy and Busta Rhymes. Chantal's songs are mostly on
reflections of the world. "God Made Me" is all about what some people, mostly
women think themselves and others to be. "Surrounded" is a touching song, which
was wrote after Chantal's boyfriend's suicide in 1992. "Wayne" was a song that
showed off Chantal's incredible voice and also showed the confused life of most
children and their families. Also "Imaginary Friend" shows the thougths and how
other people think.
