Sand Dune Damage

Here are pictures of the dune erosion and damage done during the tides and storms which ocurred during the month of November 2008.
It appears that a much wider area is vunerable to the erosion then previously thought.
These pictures show widespread erosion from Seville Ave all the way down to Brenta. I did not venture down to the Oxford Ave area. There was some additional erosion from Toledo Ave down to were the dunes end near Cordova Ave (toward the bend).

These two pictures were taken from Naples Ave looking east and west down Bay Drive.

The dunes were breached along Bay Drive between Naples and Venice Ave. This is the same location that gave way in May 2008 during the "Mother's Day" storm..
