Ebiten is another one of the guards that serves Kirin. He guards the 5th gate, and he has the Gate closest to Kirin's castle. Ebiten was the one who originally captured Akane for Kirin, thinking that she was destined to be Kirin's bride. His fight with Ranma was the longest and toughest out of Ranma's entire quest to save Akane. In the end, Ryoga, so determined to save Akane, ran over Ebiten, knocking him down, and letting the fight be finished with. Ebiten is a quick, and fierce, yet somewhat cocky fighter. His choice of weapons is a fishing pole and a hook, which he can use with great skill.
