A little bit about Tori

I first learned about Tori one night after work. It was about 2am...and I decided to turn on "Bevis and Butthead" for a good laugh. Sure enough, there she was, singing "God." I decided the next morning to go pick up the cd Under the Pink, and therefore after I was hooked. I have been in love with her music ever since. Later on I went to my very first concert EVER, at the Seattle Opera House on September 14, 1994. It was amazing. I have been collecting her stuff ever since.
I would have to say that the most memorable times I have ever had was during the time that I was trying to get into the Moore for the 1998 Sneek Peak in Seattle. I met more friends there than I have ever had in my life. True friends. I met Sarah Orton online on the Dent, and she wanted to me to buy her tickets to the show, since she lived in Idaho. She has become one of my best friends. Her and Andy came and made my life a better place. Spending two nights with a person on the street can make anyone close. I also met Ivy, a girl who has been trying to petition for over a year now to create a Tori Amos Lazer Show. She is a wonerful person, and a pleasure to be with. We all were at the baracade when we got to the show, and got up to the front row in the pit. It was hard to deal with all of the pushing, but it was worth it. Jeff, Ryan, and I were sining the lyrics to "Jackie's Strength" and tori looked puzzled, as if we were not supposed to know the lyrics yet. Just being so close to Tori, was an exilirating experience. One that I will never forget. She did not only give me the fairies that help me out in times of trouble, she gave me friendships that I can never forget.
The most memorable experience I have ever had is defiately when I got to meet her in person. I won tickets to see her live in a Seattle End Session, by answering the question "where was she born." I had never won anything in my life till that day, and you can obviously say that I was excited as hell. I took my friend Kimmie, and we sat in Glenn Studios with 28 other fans and listend to her sing for almost an hour. I gave Tori a NunZilla(a fire breating nun) and she loved it. The most exciting point was when TORI CAME UP TO TALK TO ME!!!!!! She asked me where I got the Uk 12" Raspberry Swirl record. I just about passed out. We took pictures, and said our goodbyes to one of the most wonderful godesses in the world.

I later went on to the Seattle show this year(9/11/98) and drove down to Eugene (9/13/98) and had a wonderful time. With all that she has given me, there is nothing left to say but that she is amazing. She has changed my life. Yet again, in 1999 I have been privledged to meet Tori again. I got to spend some time with her at the meet and greet in Boise Idaho (with my friend Sarah from Boise from the meet and greet). She was amazing. We all talked about the Spin article, and how it made everyone feel as if they were a freak show. I was also lucky enough to get a chance to ask her to play hotel, which was something I have been wanting to hear since her tour in 1998. I told her I had been to 4 shows since the sneek peek, and still haven't heard it. She told me that "I was one of the unlucky ones." Yet, she played it right on cue. It was an amazing experience, and I even managed to get a Jackie's Strength single signed. Sarah even got a chance to have a backstage pass (that bitch) and spend some one on one time with tori. Once again, Tori has filled us with light. :)
