Here is how we can talk on internet. The program we will us is called MediaRing.

(STEP 1)

Once you open your e-mail just click on following "link".

Yes, it is called a "link" or "address" of a "web site or web page" that you are going to visit.

Now click on it.

If you don't open this e-mail in your "Netscape" browser (the internet program that you use to visit web sites), then note down this address. Then open Netscape (if you don't have netscape then ope "internet explorer". We will call it "browser" now).

Once the browser is open type http://www.mediaring.com/banner/mirror/ in

the long box with title "Location". It is the only box on the screen where you can type something. After typing hit enter (hit means just press !!!).

Click on the stylish phone Image in front of you. It will take you

to the download page. Go down on this page, you will find a "Blinking" link "Click here to download MediaRing Talk 99 (Beta) Now!". Click on it. A window will appear with heading on top "Save As ...". Now this is something new so we will go to step 3

(STEP 3)

On the "Save As" screen you see:

a) on top an "drop down box" with an arrow on left.

b) Just next to the arrow, there is a yellow folder sign with an

upward arrow in it.

c) Next to the yellow folder sign mentioned in item (b), there is anoth yellow folder sign with a start (*) on its corner.

Now, click on the "drop down" arrow. It will show you all the folders in your "Hard Drive" where you can save the Media ring Program. Now choose C: by clicking on it. you will see that "drop down box" will close and C: will be visible in it.

Now click on the "yellow folder" with (*) sign in it. It will create a "new folder" for you. Change the namee of this folder to "media" by clicking on it once (don't double click on it). Make sure you press left mouse button. Once the name is changed, hit "Enter". you should now be able to see this new folder name in the "dorp down" box. If you are still seeing C: in the box, then double click on the "media" folder that you just created. Now you should see "media" in the drop down box.

Now, press "Save" button. You will see "Saving Location" screen will appear.

Let it finish. It will disappear when it finishes downloading the file.

Download may take an hour or more.

(STEP 4)

Now we are ready to install the program on our computer.

Go to Start --> Run. Then, in the "open" box type:

c:\media\MediaRing-Talk-99-Setup and pressss "OK". It will install the program on your computer. It will give your different screens and ask you to Press buttons.

When "Install" screen appears, press "install"

When "License Agreement" appears, press "I accept".

They Press "Next" in the next screen. It will start installing the program on your computer.

Finally, "installation complete" will appear. Click on a "circle" next

to "Yes". That "circle" is called "Radio Button". Then press "finish".

When the program Opens, click on the "Arrow" for country selection.Select USA. Then click in Area Code box and type 313 (our area code). n Phone number box type 582-2029.

WARNING: Whenever, Media rings ask you something like "KNOCK USER" OR

"INVITE USER ?", always say "NO" by clicking on appropriate button.
