The Sloggs are a rock band made up of Pacific Northwest natives. Rarely seen performing live other than at the Deck Party in Skykomish each summer, the band's style remains loose and loud. The Sloggs' long term recording plans showed some progress in 2002, with a couple of Drew Sphincter hits on a demo CD. How much more gets done depends on overcoming the band's slack attitude.
The Sloggs celebrated their Tenth Anniversary at the 2005 Deck Party. Drummer Buck Beluga and lead guitarist Ron Lavicione have played together in one or more bands for over thirty years. Rounding out the band are bassist Tim "The Bluesman" Moore and the indominatable Drew Sphincter on lead vocals, harmonica, and rhythm guitar. The Sloggs expect to provide tequila fueled rock once again at the Deck Party next summer.
The Sloggs' live CD from the 1997 Deck Party is still in limited circulation. The original custom designed packaging includes images found on the Gallery page of this website, but only a slim case version is available now. The CD definitely captures the feel of the Sloggs live.
