Wesley Gunst:  A Real American Hero

About This Website

Greetings!  I'm glad you found my website.  It was created in the spring of 1999 when I was a freshman at Dordt College.  It was a period in my life when I had way too much time on my hands.  When it was created I didn't really have a plan for what I wanted my website to be, or what I wanted it to be about.  As a result, the site was a hodgepodge of slightly interesting, yet ultimately unimportant pictures and text.  Originally I wanted to update the site weekly so my friends always knew what I was up to.  I soon realized the amount of commitment to perform such a feat was beyond what I wanted to do--especially considering the low amount of traffic this site receives.  Throughout college the site was updated slightly every few months, but there were no significant changes.  Three years later, in the summer of 2002, much of the site was erased except for a couple pages and some pictures.  For all intents and purposes, the site in its current state was useless to visitors who wanted to know more about me.  In the summer of 2004, I decided the site needed a total makeover, as well as a new direction and purpose.  I am lucky enough for this site to be listed #1 on a number of major search engines when my name is entered in.  I figured that there may be a few long lost friends or acquaintances, or even friends of friends, who might run across the site, and therefore it needed to be informative about who I am.  So, in short, this site is about me.  A little about my past, and a little about what I am up to now, as well as some other tidbits and interesting information.  It exists solely for my friends and family, and anyone who wants to know something about me.  I hope you enjoy it.
