Summary: In their first game ever the Cannons (1-0) defeated the West Seattle Indians 21-2. Chris Clark pitched 5 solid innings, striking out six and walking only one, to post the first win of the season. The Cannons took advantage of 13 walks and added 13 hits leading to 21 runs in only 6 innings. The Cannons scored 11 runs in the third inning to overcome a two run Indian lead, then rallied for 10 more runs in the fifth inning to put the game away.
The offensive leader was Aaron Mackey with two hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Leadoff hitter Nate Durrant drove in 4 runs with two clutch singles, each hit coming with the bases loaded. Jared Manley had three hits and two RBI. Jason Perez pitched a scoreless sixth inning to finish the game.
