Eagle Claw DO67F, Mustad 3407, or similar, sizes 1 to 2/0

Thread 3/0 white
Tail Six white saddle hackles
Body Rainbow Diamond Braid
Underwing Pearl and blue Krystal Flash
Overwing Light blue then dark blue fish hair
Head White thread wound heavy, then hand painted including eyes, finish with five minute epoxy

This Blue Lefty’s Deceiver Variation was tied by Mike Foster. He writes about this fly in his memories of fly fishing for Salmon in salt water, "Casting a blue or green deceiver variation into the melee would often result in instant strikes."

Lefty's Deceiver flies, originated by Lefty Kreh, and tied in numerous variations, are well-known for being highly successful in salt water for almost species that feed on baitfish.
