SCOTT'S NOTES: This fly is a hybrid between Jack Pangburn's "Krystal Bear" and a 'Miramichi style' Salmon fly named the "Squirrel" (designed by Marc Madore and George Routeledge). I've dressed this example as a low water variant on a #3 Bronze Alec Jackson Spey Fly Hook. The 'Boar' is a good general purpose Salmon and Summer Steelhead pattern, especially on 'undecided' weather days in the Northwest.
