This salmon fry imitation was originated by Hank Pennington for fishing those conditions when salmon fry are present and are prey for other fish. The grizzly hackle simulate the parr markings of the salmon fry which Mr. Pennington noted as one of the more dominant features along as the eyes when designing this fly.
