On June 5, 2001 ZYX music released a 2 CD compilation. This compilation includes selections from the 3 full length albums plus the singles. To "Querschnitt".... or not to "Querschnitt"? This compilation is the sole endeavor of ZYX music. Megaherz had absolutely NOTHING to do with the selection of songs, cover art work, etc. Their contract/relationship with ZYX ended after "Himmelfahrt" was released. There is absolutely NOTHING NEW included on this compilation. If you possess the full length albums and singles you already have everything. If you are just getting into Megaherz.... please do not limit yourself to JUST this CD. Though it is supposed to be "the Best of Megaherz...." you will be depriving yourself of many MANY extraordinary songs NOT included on "Querschnitt" For a track listing of songs included, please click-on "compilations" located on the left section of this page. Note: In order to view text without horizontal scrolling,
This is the band! From L to R: Frank G.,
maximize screen (windows) or drag to maximize screen
(macintosh). I have tested this page in these browsers:
America Online, Microsoft Internet Explorer,
and Netscape Navigator 4.0. Each has its own
pros and cons. America Online is the ideal
browser to use since the frames ALWAYS load
as well as the pictures. The load rate
is pretty fast, too. Microsoft Internet
Explorer is just as fast to
load the page as AOL, but not all
the graphics will load so you may need
to right-click on them and hit
Show Picture Also, the frames have a nasty
habit of not displaying. To correct this problem,
you may have to hit the refresh button. Netscape is more
reliable when loading the pictures but takes
a long time. It should not have any
problems with the frames displaying, but if so,
just hit the refresh button.

ABOUT TRANSLATIONS:
In America, our imaginary illusions are sometimes
referred to as "to see pink elephants." In Germany, this
expression is written: "weiße Mäuse sehen," which
literally translates to: "to see white mice"! Therein
lies the problem when translating German to English! Not
only are you translating the words, but also translating
cultural differences.
My philosophy towards translations prefers the idea
of conveying the meaning and content of the whole song
(line by line) vs. a literal word for word EXACT German
to English translation. I also rearrange, as necessary,
the order of words as they may appear on any given line;
to conform to English syntax. This helps with better
overall understanding with what is being sung.
Even if you do not understand a word in German, and
unless you are deaf, dumb, and blind; it is impossible
to not feel the anger in "Miststück" or the sadness in
"Freiflug" just by listening to the tone of
Alexx's voice. But, actually knowing what the lyrics are
saying will allow you to fully appreciate the songs completely.
