let me nestle secure
on my father's breast.
Let me be rocked gently
enfolded in His arms.
Let me hear in stillness
His soft-sung lullaby.
Let me sleep undisturbed
in His perfect peace.
Let me wake hushed
less bruised by life's hurts.
