イーブンと言うバンドはメルボルンからの三人組です。最近日本のツアーもあったんですよ。私はイーブンのギターと六十年代の感じが好きです！特にウォカルのアッシュのギターはすごい！ライブではアップリフティング感じが強くて、終わらないで下さいって感じかな。アルバムと言えば、「レス・イス・モアー」と「カム・アゲイン」です。EP の「テン・トゥ・フォティ・シクス」と「インサイド・ステレオ」と「ワン・サイド・ノット」が私のシーディの中の宝物です。
Even are a three piece band from Melbourne, Australia. Recently they even toured in Japan! I like the 60's kind of feel which even have, and their guitar playing is something else (especially Ash!). They have a presence on stage which is uplifting and always leaves me wanting to hear more! Their albums include "Less Is More" and "Come Again". The EPs "ten to forty-six", "inside stereo" and "one side not" all are prized posessions in my cd collection!
JEBEDIAH
ジェベダイアは最高！パースからの若い４人組です。ライブではいつも元気な顔を出して、すごく楽しいライブやります。男三人で女一人です。もうすぐ新アルバムが発売する予定があります。もちろん、前の「スライトリー・オッドウェー」と言うアルバムが買えるけどね！日本で発売したのは extra trackが入っています。Jebediah are awesome! They're a young 4 piece from Perth, Australia. They're always full of energy when performing live, and they put on a really enjoyable show. There are 3 guys and 1 girl in the band. They will be putting out a new album really soon, but you can always buy their first album called "Slightly Odway" which comes with some additional tracks on the Japanese release.

また日本でアルバムが発売されているオーストラリア人のバンドはシドニーのユー・アム・アイです。ユー・アム・アイはアルバム一杯作っていて、それはいいバンドの証拠でしょう。ウォカルのティム・ロジャーズは最近ソロ・アルバムを作りました。実はすごく最近の出したのはあんまり聞いてないけど、持ってるのは「アオリー・デイリ」と「サオンド・アズ・エバー」です。「トライク」も好きです。ユー・アム・アイのファンサイトのユー・アム・アイ セントラル またはミッフィさんの世界 へどうぞ。
Another Australian band whose albums I have seen for sale in Japan are Sydney band You Am I. You Am I are a great band as their many albums will prove. Frontman Tim Rogers has been doing a bit of solo stuff lately, and he has also put out an album. To be honest, I haven't heard a great deal of You Am I's recent offerings, but "Hourly Daily" and "Sound as Ever" are two albums I have in my collection. "Trike" is another of my favourites.Check out You Am I Central and Miffy's World.
THE LIVING END
オーストラリアのリビング・エンドと言う三人組バンドはこのごろどこでも人気が増えています。オーストラリアではラジオのヒットソングの「プリソナー・オブ・ソサイーティ」があって、だんだん人気が増えました。スタイルは特別で「ザ・リビング・エンド」と言うアルバムの中で色んな面白い曲があります。「セーブ・ザ・デイ」とか「ウェスト・エンド・ライット」とか 「プリソナー・オブ・ソサイーティ」とか・・・このアルバムは日本でも発売されています。最近、アメリカ人の「ザ・オッフスプリング」と一緒にアメリカのツアーをやりました。だからファンたちの数も増えているかも知れません。
One young Aussie three piece who are doing well not only in Australia but overseas as well are silverchair. These guys are from Newcastle and have just put out a new album called "Neon Ballroom". Their first album is called "Frogstomp" and their second "Freak Show",and these albums are currently on sale in Japan. You might like to check them out at The Chairpage.
Sydney's Sidewinder haven't played live for about a year, but about 2 or 3 years ago they were playing quite a bit around the place. The live shows at that time were pretty entertaining. They'll probably be playing live soon again. The songs I like include "Titanic Days", "Evil Eye" and "Day After Day". I particularly like the guitar and lyrics of the Craft brothers.

SIDEWINDER
サイドワインダと言うシドニーのバンドは最近ライブとかあんまりやってないですが、二三年前よく出ていました。その時のライブは楽しかったです。もうすぐやるかも知れません。好きな曲は「タイタニク・デイス」と「イブル・アイ」と「デイ・アフター・デイ」です。クラフト兄弟のギターと歌詞はいいだと思います。
