(verse 3)
I want to be just like Job was that day.
He trusted God; he didn’t turn away.
He passed the test; the victory he won;
Defeating the one who waged war on his soul.
God then gave back even more than he’d lost.
Since he stood firm in God no matter the cost.
Lord, help me trust You in this same way today.
Make me stand strong & teach me Your ways.
Help me not doubt Your love or Your plans.
(And) Always hold me close in the palm of Your hands.

(chorus)
“Though You slay me, still I will trust You.”
Through life’s raging storms, I will still follow You.
You said You’re always here & You never change.
So, come & rescue me; make me new again.
Even when all seems lost & I’m in despair.
I know You’re still my God & You still hear my prayers.
So, I will run to You as my refuge now.
And I will trust in You. You’ll make a way somehow.
I thank You, Lord now help me find rest in You.

NO LONGER LOOKING FOR LOVE
By Linda (me)-(1999)
(verse 1)
So many lonely nights I've spent running around
Searching, in vain, for peace to be found.
Wanting so much to be cared for and loved;
Seeking somewhere to belong.
(verse2)
Desperately needing a love of my own,
But always left feeling worthless and torn.
(I was) Used and abused, ashamed and confused,
Till You came and gave me a song.
(chorus)
No longer looking for love that I need.
In You I have more than enough.
You give the peace that I long for in times
When life's storms rage on so rough.
No Longer searching for a place to belong;
Now I know who and WHO's that I am.
There's no doubt about it; I'll stand up & shout it!
No need now to be looking for love.
(verse 3)
The hurt that remains from all my yesterdays
Weighs heavy on my heart.
The wasted years, with all those tears,
Makes me yearn for a brand-new start.
The sadness inside, I no longer can hide.
Please help me lay aside all the doubts...
(chorus)
(bridge)
I need Your hope. Too much darkness remains.
And I wanna make my "flesh" die.
It just seems too strong, and it's been so long,
That I let myself dwell on the lies.
I still struggle with sin, but it's time to begin
To stand up and fight for what's right.
You're here with me, so please come heal me,
And put me back on the right road again.
(chorus)
No longer looking for love that I need.
In You I have more than enough.
You give the peace that I long for in times
When life's storms rage on so rough.
No longer searching for a place to belong;
Now I know who and WHO's that I am.
There's no doubt about it; I'll stand up & shout it!
No need now to be looking for love.

*BROKEN DREAMS*
As children bring their broken toys,
In tears, for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God,
Because He was my Friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
In ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can You be so slow?"
"My child," He said,"What could I do?
You never did let go."

*I'll Never Let Go Of Your Hand*-(sung by Don Francisco)
(verse 1)
I know what you've been hearin'. I've seen you hide your fears.
Embarrassed by your weaknesses; afraid to let Me near.
I wish you knew how much I long for you to understand
(That)no matter what may happen, child, I'll never let go of your hand.
(verse 2)
I know you've been forsaken by all you've known before.
When you failed their expectations, they frowned and closed the door.
But even if your heart itself should lose the will to stand,
No matter what may happen, child, I'll never let go of your hand.
(chorus)
The life that I have given you no one can take away.
('Cuz) I've sealed it with my Spirit, blood, and Word.
The Everlasting Father has made His covenant with you
And He's stronger than the world you've seen and heard.
(verse 3)
So, don't you fear to show them all the love I have for you
I'll be with you everywhere, in everything you do.
And even if you do it wrong and miss the joy I've planned,
No matter what may happen, child, I'll never let go of your hand.
(chorus)

*Rest In The Arms Of God*--(written/sung by Mark Lowry)
(verse 1)
When money can't buy a solution. When plans can't find a way.
When what worked before doesn't work anymore & words have nothing to say.
When tears are flowing like rivers and hearts are breaking in two.
If it seems when you pray God is so far away, there's still one thing you can do.
(chorus)
Rest in the arms of the Everlasting One.
Rest in the care of God's Ever-Loving Son.
When all you can do has already been done.
Find rest in the arms of God.
(verse 2)
The presents of God is around you even though it's hard to believe
That He would be there in the midst of despair without even meeting your need.
For He is familiar with sorrows and so acquainted with grief.
The scars in His hands prove that He understands. In time He'll meet ev'ry need.
(chorus)
