There are alot of homeless people in Seattle and throughout the world. The most widely cited example of a point in time estimate is the approximately 500,000-600,000 homeless people found in shelters , eating at soup kitchens , or congregation on the street during one week in 1988. Many people become homeless in many different ways for example people get laid off and lose their job , other people have mental illness and sometimes they can’t do what they are supposed to , in most occasions there is a family where there is only one person working and can barely support theirselve and cannot afford the rent and if they could they can only afford that and have no money to pay the bills buy food and not able to afford childcare in some cases. It is very hard to get a job for a homeless person for example on an application you have to write down your address and if you don’t have a place to live there will be nothing you can put on your application , another thing is at a job they expect you to be clean and not to smell bad but where are the homeless people going to get cleaned up at. Not all homeless people are bad people it’s because of all these reasons that they can’t be in a comfortable house.

All types of people are homeless. There are many homeless children! 30% of homeless are children . 90% of homeless children are in school. It just goes to show you how regular people can become homeless. Homeless people don’t have to be addicted to drugs or alcohol. They are not necessarily lazy or non-educated. 40% of homeless people are homeless with their family.
