Lazy Boy plays first show at a small town cafe/bar called The Saw Mill. Unfortuantly Matt couldn't make it over so Liam and Joe did an acoustic set. It still rocked and the crowed (who were mostly freiends and relatives) went away very happy. After a big night celebrating their first show with some friends Liam and Joe accompanied by Chris (who didn't mind too much about not plaing at the Saw Mill) awaited Matts arival to Auckland.
September 20th
Matt arrived in Auckland. Liam stuck at piha. Joe buisy with woman. And Chris well we didn't know where Chris was.

Lazy boy awoke at 7:00 am ( a new record) To go on Mikey Havocs breakfast show on B fm (the Auckland student radio station) They had a quick chat with Mr Havoc and played an acoustic version of Spill The Light. Mikey then advertised the Wednesday night show at Galatos and played the single Awake. The boys also gave him a copy of West Coast Religion but where not sure if he's played it yet. note to all people in the Auckland are: Please ring up B fm and request either West Coast Religion or Awake and if you have time vote for awake on the top 10. Thanx
September 29th
Lazy Boy Live at Galatos. Their first show as a band. The night started with support band "Silent Majority" which actually includes Lazy Boy guitarist Chris on Drums. At 9:30 Lazyboy hit the stage. The show totally went off and it was smiles all round in the crowed which included the members of Australian band Regurgitator who were in town for a show of their own. The band was told 5 minutes before the were on that "the Gurg" were out there. This gave them even more excitement and made Matt a very happy camper as his favourite drummer in the world is Martin of Regurgitator. In Lazy Boy terms he is known as "THE MAN" The show consisted of most of the songs of their unreleased album plus a few oldies and a few newies. In particular "Move Over"(a newy) totally rocked and got the crowed so worked up that they cheered the boys back on for a encore. They finally finished the night with a pumping version of Empty Head.
October 5th
Matt is back in Sydney and the others are back at school but its all good as The boys have recieved interest from some record companies and hopfully the release of the album is not far away. Probable release date: Feb 2000. If they get a deal soon a single (which will most probably be Awake) will be out in December.
