Pictionary '96

1997-1998
Host: Alan Thicke
Announcer: Joe Cipriano
Premise: Pretty simple: draw pictures, win money.

Rules: Each team is composed of a civilian player and two celebrities. The contestants changed daily while the celebrities stayed on for a week. In round one, each team has two chances to draw a phrase for his or her partners to guess. Guessing the picture within 45 seconds wins the team 2 points. Additionally, each point wins $100 for the contestants.

Round two is the team round, where each team plays tag team style. The first player goes up and draws a phrase for the team, and gets 1 point for it. The next player goes up and draws. This continues for three minutes. Each phrase has one word in common with the previous puzzle, to prvide a hint. The team with the highest score moves on to the cash round. If the teams tie, Alan draws a final puzzle for the contestants only.

Bonus Game: The team sends one player to the board to draw. The puzzles are all words that link to the one before and after, just like Chain Reaction. The first three puzzles are worth $100, the next three worth $300, and all those after are worth $1000. The team has 90 seconds to get as many as possible. Both teams keep whatever money they win.
