I think it would be much fairer on Leslie if you would play Are as a NPC
during this combat. We normally have all three of us on the bridge
during manuvers. I am on the freighter but just because Sandy can't
time schedule worth beans doesn't mean we should loose those skills that
we normally depend on.

the door and Bif sprang through, seeing Mattac bending over the unmoving
form of DT. Mattac and Bif managed to stun each other (-1D to all
actions next round, folks)

at the control panel. What do you do?

the correct codes (an easy action) but nothing happens. Looks like
some reprogramming is in order. DT is uncon.... out.

a way to tie up or restrain Mattac quickly.

is some wire in the engineering that can be used to truss Mattac -- it
will take one round.

to the bridge. The Assault shuttle is coming in and you hear it hit
the side of the L4. what do you do?

the hatches if possible. Are they coming through the lock or the bulkhead?
<greyshade> They have
mated with the Port Airlock. Make a Starship Repair or Security roll,
whichever you prefer.
<Darkstar> 18 on security
<greyshade> Good.
Which doors do you want to lock? do you have the L4 deck in front
of you?
<Darkstar> Ok, I want
to secure the doors of the Bridge and of the inside Port Airlock.
<greyshade> The doors
slam shut. you have locked them securely, although the Ass. shuttle
has docked this round. Anything else quick? (ie, communications,
checking a system, etc?)
<Darkstar> Will do a
systems check to see if Mattac has planned any more surprises. I don't
suppose there is anyway to flood the airlock with sleeping gas?

is Blackhawk going to do?

dodge until R4 can get the weapons back on line. Though I'd like

proton launcher is still offline, but the conc. miss. launcher and the
other beam weapons come back this round.

turret) will take a shot at the other TIE... A hit!

It would take someone very experienced to undo it. His glance falls
upon the recumbant form of DT...

the system lockout seems to be the only thing Mattac has done. Of
course, there are some systems you can't get to, so you don't know if there
is more damage/sabotage until they come back online.

I will do..."Sha moves to the com panel..."where is the attack shuttle

over and answers the com.

knocking at the Port Airlock, folks. Prepare to repel boarders."

repair work coming on the engines?"

around for something that can be used as a weapon to repel boarders.

other than talking on the com, any other action?
<Bob> Sha will grab the
door from engineering on his way out, taking it with him if possible.
<Darkstar> Ok, how about
a blow torch or an oxygen tank. I'm thinking it's McGyver time here.
<greyshade> There's probably
a wrench or something in a spare tool kit, but she ususally does better
with her bare hands. Unfortunately, there are no blasters laying
around on the bridge. Nope. There are some in engineering,
but....

own blaster, but I can only shoot so many at a time.
<greyshade> Oh good,
you have a blaster. Yes, a fire extinguisher (one of leslie's favorite
weapons). you can retrieve that this round if you wish.
<Blackhawk> (Hey, it
works excellently against Zombies and all sorts of monsters. :)

of this round, both Wei Ping and Sha can hear noises from the port airlock.
It sounds like...someone cutting through airlock doors with laser cutters.

this time you reach the inner airlock doors. The way the airlock works
is that you actually enter from outside and take a left or a right, into
the bridge or the hallway. So through this hall you have to pass
through the port airlock to get to the bridge. However, standing
there with a part of a door under your arm. the airlock does not open.
What do you do?
<Bob> Sha will check
to see if the airlock is occupied (using the readout next to the door).
<greyshade> Nope, not
listed as occupied, but shows locked.
<Bob> Can he use his
Security roll to unlock it?
<greyshade> Yep.
you have to beat Roberta's roll of 18.

a 15, but can he tell if it was locked out from the bridge or jammed by
the boarders?

yes you can tell it is a security lockout, just one you didn't quite circumvent.

up a defensive position on the bridge and preparing to fire at anything
that comes through the airlock.

the other way. I've got the door locked pretty well at this point and I
don't know if I can reset before they cut through.

is at the aft door of the port lock. Please unlock."

the board on the bridge and the telltale next to the airlock door show
that the outer doors have been breached.

they've just broken through. Stand there and keep them from going aft.
I'll protect the bridge."

to unlock only this door from hear so they don't have easy access to the
bridge."
<Yule> I look at DT....."got
to get her awake asap" he mutters. He looks frantically...no...quickly
around for the engine room emergency med packs. He runs to go get
it and then crouch next to DT in preparation for next round.

is a small window -- enough to see shapes, not detail. Want to make
a perception roll? There are two large armored figures in the airlock.
One seems to be doing something to the far door.

(can he see into the airlock or is the door solid?) ok....11, trying just
to see if the storm troopers have entered it yet.

also out-maneuvered him and are in the superior position. The other
2 ties are struggling to keep up..... but they fall behind this impressive
piloting display.

to hold the door from Engineering in front of him and cycle the airlock.
His next action depends on what he sees, he's going to be looking at the
equipment on the two troopers. (He really wants a grenade...)

explosives in small areas. Just blow a hole in the side.

cycles open. Standing in the airlock are two Spacetroopers. (see

of them is cutting the opposite wall with a laser cutter.

at you has a blaster rifle over his shoulder and is carrying... I'm not
kidding... a grenade launcher. He makes that wonderful stormtrooper
"what?" You can also see another trooper hovering beyond the hole
in the outer airlock.

with the door leading the way, he wants to body block both troopers into
the far wall. Roll = 19

pinned to the bulkhead. (I'm envisioning him leaning into the door and
turning, using his shoulder to hold the door.)

And mutters under her breath as she starts to stand. "Goddamn, superheroes.

around slightly disoriented. "Hyperdrive, hyperdrive."

to the computer program over there..." point.

You know, he could rekeyed the Xenoid interlocks... or maybe..."
DT's muttering gets real technical and she steps over to the computer.
<Yule> Bif rolls his
eyes.

she looks back at John. "I'm gonna want a raise for this. Gettin'
shot was definitely not in the contract!" Then she starts working
at the panel.
<Darkstar> Call down
to engineering. "Engineering, what is the status, please."
<Yule> "engineering here...um
working on hyperdrive repair...is shuttle docked?"
<Darkstar> "How about
thrusters. Hyper won't do much good if we can't maneuver."
<Blackhawk> DT snorts.
<Darkstar> "We have been
boarded, they are trying to cut through to the bridge. I believe Sha has
engaged with some troopers. Haven't heard from him since I opened the airlock
security."
<Yule> "DT is working
on it. I will apprise when we know something."
<Darkstar> "Any orders?"
<Yule> "Delay, delay,
delay. I am going to stay here to protect DT."
<Darkstar> Delay, how
the hell am I suppose to delay an assault shuttle full of Imperial troops?
<Blackhawk> DT's eyes
get real big. She stops muttering and begins typing furiously at
the computer. Locked down and on task.
<Blackhawk> There's a
slight pause in the tech's typing, then she continues as lightning fast
as before. What kind of tech roll you want from the poptart tech?

Prog/Repair, then a Starship Repair (full dice on each)

You beat the opposed roll vs. Mattac's. DT has cracked the computer
lockout.

proudly -- she knows that was better than she should've done. But
continues, nose to the grindstone.

the bridge the telltales light up that you have helm control now.

mean thrusters?

-- sublight drives, etc. The space transports roll shows that Mattac
has taken the Jump drives physically offline -- looks like it will take
a while to reconnect.
<Yule> "That bastard."
<Blackhawk> "Crap!!"
DT shouts and leaps out of her chair, pulling a hydrospanner like a six-shooter.
She practically barrels over John to get to the main hyperdrive.
<Yule> "Wei Ping - you
have the helm control back. Start shaking us around."
<Darkstar> "Ok, hold
on to something, here we go."
<Bob> Does Sha hear this?
<greyshade> Sha can make
a perception roll -- but he's a bit distracted so it'll be hard.

He can tell that something is being said over the comm but not what.

<Darkstar> Plot a course
to try to 1. shake the shuttle loose, or 2) run the shuttle into something.

closest thing stationary is the space station. There are other ships
around, but they're moving.
<Darkstar> That'll do,
they're the ones that held us here.
<Darkstar> 18 with a
6 on the wild die +2 from the ship that's 20
<greyshade> The L4 lunges
forward. It's going 2 space units right now (I rounded up from half
it's normal 3 -- half is starting speed) So You're 14 units from the station.
you can keep making piloting rolls each round to increase the speed.
<Darkstar> Ok, let me

Sha. Sha, you temporarily have 2 troopers pinned and another at the
outer airlock entering from the assault shuttle yelling "halt!" How
many actions?
<Bob> Two I think, grab
the grenade launcher and fire thru the airlock.

roll to grab the launcher (remember each action is at -1D since you're
taking 2 actions)

grenade goes whizzing into the shuttle and lands past where Sha can see.
There is a poof and a loud hissing sound, and Sha gets the whiff of gas.

far enough away that Sha is not affected, but it bothers the troopers none
whatsoever. How far did Sha fire the grenade into the shuttle?

since he doesn't know what is in the launcher. Bummer, I was afraid
of that. Ok, plan two. [yeah, I'm thinking some armor would
be nice about now ;-) ]

What do you do? (Remember, you have the concussion missilies as well
as the ion cannon that you can fire)

the concussion missiles are from the weapons turret, I think...

The missile rocks the TIE and it begins to disintegrate....

Pilot roll for Wei Ping first. Are you trying to go faster?
You can go up to 12 units/round. You drop the highest rolled die
and I come up with some nasty to minor complication (like singed eyebrows).

trying to hit the station with the shuttle.

Good news = You weren't going fast enough to reach the station. You would
have had to made the Pilot roll to increase -- you were going 6 units and
were 10 from the station. 4 units from the station something bad
happends. let me check my movement failure chart...

you've got one confused trooper in your grip and two pissed ones looking

I'm holding to bash the others, not as concerned with damage as getting
amongst them and preventing them from aiming big rifles or cannons at me.
Does that include the -1D from stunning last round?

by side. But It is close quarters.

John's telepathy but nods.

chaos raging around, Bif is able to center himself quite easily.

trooper and another is holding him, I figure he can try to take both of
them and body block them back thru the door into Mr. Boomer. That's

makes an amazing crack-the-whip move, but there is an alarming crackle
from the servos in his arm. roll your strength damage. No,
include the arm bonus -- it's being overstressed by the effort.

damage evident, but the three go down like tenpins, piled in the doorway
of the outer airlock.

Make a piloting roll and tell me exactly what you're trying to do.
<Darkstar> I am trying
to roll the L-4 so that the shuttle will be scraped into the side of the
station.
<Darkstar> 14 + 2 for
ship = 16. And that's with a 6 on the wild die.
<greyshade> Okay, the
roll is pretty good. What happens is that you don't exactly scrape
it off, but go hurtling through some of the station's superstructure.
It scrapes both sides of the L4 and tears at the shuttle. Roll the
L4's hull to resist damage.

L4 weathers it pretty well. Minor cosmetic damage to the big freighter.
The shuttle is not so lucky. Sha and Bif hear the whoof of explosive
decompression from within the shuttle and a wind begins to tug them toward
the airlock.....

look upward at the hull as the sound of scraping vibrates through the ship.

the airlock. The troopers are on the floor of the outer airlock doorway.

get out of the airlock thru the aft door (where Bif is I believe!), and
then close the door.
<greyshade> Okay.
I think I'll call it a running roll to get out of the door. It's
at -1d since you'll be activating the door as well.

hit hyperspace like a bunch of weasels on crack.
