Round 1

Star Wars: Round 1.1 - Wei Ping

Planet Lazerian IV, Elgar Engineering Shipyards, 10pm Sunday
Aboard L-4 Transport

[GM] *All is quiet aboard the Transport, except for occasional clangs from engineering.  Mattac has been throwing himself into his work for the last few days, hardly sleeping or talking to anyone.  It looks like an attempt to impress
Billi Brok, and has intensified in the hours since Harkenon inspected the ship.*

::Captain Tave Sarganish staggers onto the ship, making one of his rare appearances.  He has obviously been drinking, and a beer stain is not the only thing on his arm: there is also a female human blonde of "negotiable" virtue.
She giggles as Sarganish helps her through the airlock -- or is it vice versa?  He weaves as she takes his arm, and he spins in Wei Ping's direction, spotting her in spite of his inebriated condition.::

[Sarganish]  ::He cracks a grin and bellows expansively.:: "Colter, you little womp rat, how're ya?  Meet Reeda.  She's just come aboard for a peek at the Captain's quarters."

Star Wars Round 1.2

[Wei Ping] ~~Over your dead body~~ ::bows:: “Captain.” ~~you lecherous slob~~  “Do you think it wise to compromise the security of the ship, now that the owner has arrived?”

[Roberta] What kind of equipment do we have as far as radio. If Wei Ping does not have one on her, is there a communications panel of some kind close by?  Wei Ping will not allow Reeda to move freely about the ship. The best
course of action to achieve this is to not have her on the ship to begin with. She will attempt to first verbally convince the Captain to have his tryst elsewhere.

[Wei Ping] ~~If I knock him out, I wonder if I could convince him later that he passed out?~~ ::move to block the passage way::

[Roberta] If Wei Ping has a radio on her, she will set it to open so that this conversation is being heard by anyone of the ship that is listening.

Star Wars Round 1.3

[GM] ::As she bows, Wei Ping's hand imperceptibly moves to the commlink at her waist.  She activates the link unnoticed; however, the results are not subtle [due to a complication on the Wild Die].  The shipboard broadcast feature
is activated, and the Captain's next words echo through the L-4's corridors over the shipboard speakers.
[Wei Ping] *mentally smaks her forhead with the palm of her hand*

[Sarganish]  "So, the mysterious owner really exists, eh?  Well, joke him if he can't take a f...."

[Reeda] ::Trying desperately to maintain her smile, Reeda tugs on Sarganish's sleeve and whispers in his ear.::

[Sarganish]  ::shakes his head:: "To HELL with that!"  *This proclamation nearly shakes the walls as it booms from the ship's speakers.*  "Colter, if you're so concerned about ship's security, then you can bloody well lock the cabin door behind us!"

Round 1.4

[Roberta] How far is it to the Captain’s Quarters from here and what would we
pass on the way?

[GM] Wei Ping and the others are on Deck 1, standing in the corridor just aft of the port airlock.  The only other thing in this hallway is the lift (about 10 meters aft) and the entrance to the dorsal storage area (about 20 meters aft).
From here, the couple could take the lift directly to crew quarters on Deck 2.  In the Deck 2 corridor, on the way to the captain's quarters, they would pass doors to the stairs and an escape pod hatch.  They would come within 5
meters of the galley and 10 meters of the door to the Deck 2 catwalk above the main hold.

Wei Ping's evaluation of Reeda is that she is exactly what she appears.  The security risk seems minimal, and preferable to a continued (possibly violent) confrontation with the Captain.

[Wei Ping] ~~She won’t see anymore than she already has. ~~"As you wish, Captain." ::bow, and move to open the way to the Captain’s Quarters:: ~~And a sensor sweep to make sure she doesn’t leave any presents behind. No one is going to plant a bomb on my ship.~~

Round 1.5

[Sarganish]  ::A maudlin smile replaces the former expression of anger.  He staggers past Wei Ping, Reeda half-supporting him.::  "Thanks, Colter.  I knew I could count on you.  You're a decent shish... shishmate... crewmember."
::Sarganish and Reeda make it to the lift and press the call button.::

[Wei Ping] ::follow the Captain and Reeda to his quarters and secure the door:: “If you have need of anything, let me know and I’ll see what I can scrounge up.”

[Sarganish]  ::winks salaciously:: "I've got everything I need right here."  ::He squeezes Reeda's rump and she squeals.::  "Of course, if you need it too...."

[Reeda]  ::scowling:: "Hey, that'd be extra!"  ::She pushes Sarganish through the doorway and onto his bunk, and the door shuts and locks behind them.::

Round 1.6

[Wei Ping] ~~ Where is everyone? You’d a thunk that the Captain’s voice over the ships intercom would have caused someone to come and investigate. ~~ ::Set off around the ship to see who is and isn’t here.::

[GM] *As if summoned by her thoughts, the ship's engineer slinks out of a shadow further down the corridor. He is clutching a hydrospanner defensively in one hand.*

[Mattac] ::glances at the doorway to the Captain's quarters nervously and then looks back at Wei Ping:: "What in the void was all that about?"

[Wei Ping]*totally exasperated with the spineless sea urchin* ~~We were just having a security drill. Your rating is now 0.~~ “Foul up with the intercom system. What are you working on? I thought we were all finished and ready for the new owner.”

[Roberta] If Mattac is working on something simple, Wei Ping will engage him in
mindless conversation for awhile just to be polite then go to the bridge.

Round 1.8

[GM]  Mattac seems to be a workaholic.  He is doing no major systems upgrades, just tinkering with power outputs and system shunts to maximize efficiency.

[Wei Ping]Once on the bridge she will:
        1. Bring up a file for ships systems and begin going over a checklist to see if everything is on line and functioning within specifications.

[GM: Everything looks okay...now where have I heard that before?  Seriously, all looks to be up to specs.]

        2. Check the Captain’s log to see if it is up to date and will make notations on anything that needs to be included that isn’t.

[The Captain's Log is a mess.  Sarganish appears to be either chronically drunk or incredibly disorganized.]

        3. Check lists of supplies for the galley and the sickbay to see if all supplies have been delivered and their status as far as being stowed in the proper compartments.

[Supplies have been laid in, but in extremely limited quantities.  It looks like someone was determined to just meet regulation requirements and no more. ]

Although paperwork is her least favorite task aboard ship, she is determined that there be no reason for the new owner to consider replacing her position on the ship. She is determined to be familiar with every nut, bolt and wire in the ship's system. She may not know how to fix something but when someone asks for a delta multi-phasic relay spanner she will know how many are on board and where the closest one can be found.

~~Harkonen may replace the other crew, but I will give him no reason to question my competence.~~

[Reviewing the ship's systems, you notice more of Mattac's handiwork.  It looks like he has increased efficiency on the Hyperdrive, but the operating system is now a bit eccentric.  Nothing dangerous, but were Mattac to be replaced, he would need to brief people on how it works, exactly -- you're not really sure.]
