Capsule: The L-4 is the Elgar Corporation’s answer to the Corellian Engineering CE-2 transport. The L-4 is a hybrid of light freighter and space barge, using a light freighter configuration to move barge cargo pods. About 10,000 metric tons of cargo can be stored in the freighter itself, with another 40,000 in strap-on or towed cargo pods.
Condition: The L-4 28E is currently on the planet Lazerian IV, having been just claimed by its new owner, "John Ford" (Bif Harkenon). It currently has no cargo or destination, but does have one empty 10,000 metric ton cargo pod. The L-4 28E also has two hard points for defensive weapon placement, but the current Imperial-aligned government on Lazerian IV forbids in-system installation of weapons on civilian craft.
