Fallschirmjaeger Regiment
of Washington

Welcome to the home page of the Fallschirmjaeger Regiment of Washington, we are a non-political historical reenactment group that portrays German Paratroopers from WWII. Our unit, incorporated as a not for profit organization in Washington State, has been a member of the Northwest Historical Association since 1997.

The first question often asked our members is; "Why reenact German troops?".  Well, the answer is simply that someone has to be the "bad-guy" in our hobby. The NWHA members acting the role of German soldiers are often out-numbered by the Allies two to one , and without near equal numbers on both sides it is really no fun to "play".

In fact our unit started as a U.S. Squad but decided to switch sides because of the unequal numbers. The majority of our members maintain alternate U.S. impressions of both the 82nd and 101st Airborne in addition to participating in other living history organizations dedicated to the portrayal of regular U.S. Infantry and U.S. Air Corps personal.

The largest of these groups is the Friends of Willie & Joe , the only U.S. WWII living history organization offically sponsored by Bill Mauldin, the creator of Willie & Joe.

The Fallschirmjaeger Regiment of Washington and the NWHA does not allow, endorse, tolerate, nor condone any NAZI attitudes, actions or beliefs from either the past or current time periods. Our unit exists solely to provide an elite and aggressive enemy to the Allied Forces in our WWII battle reenactments.
