Gangfight Report Number 2

The Bootleheads vs Mad Donna (and an Escher Gang)

So far these bloody women are the best gang (in terms of Gang Rating) I have ever fought. They seemed an agile gang, with an aptitude for close combat, and with the addition of Mad Donna they seemed like quite a prospect. My plan was to blow them to ribbons before they got close. I placed my close combat specialists 'Eadbanger and Wellard in my tunnels.

I had the first turn, so after advancing with some of my gangers with shorter range weapons, I started blowing peoples heads off using my Leader, Psycho. One Esher ganger had been poorly placed in an open doorway, and could be clearly seen, so I proceeded to take her out of action. Other shooting was appaling (all 1's and 2's) so we proceeded to my opponents turn.

The opponent had two infiltrators (ARGGH!), and these were moved into a position where they could charge in the next turn. Shooting managed to pin my Heavy, but no more. At the end of the turn, they brought out those who had been lurking in the tunnel- including Mad Donna!

The infiltrators had been placed poorly. He had thought that if one went down, he would be able to charge me with the other, but soon found that there was a flaw in this plan, as I put one down with Manc Killer, and pinned another with Fat Bob, who was exactly 24" away! My Heavy, Scouse, took one wound off Mad Donna, stopping her in her tracks, but unfortunately failing his ammo roll. I brought my men out of the tunnel at the end of the turn.

The one infiltrator who was still upright charged Psycho much to my horror! At last somebody managed to pin Scouse, but I was pleased that he was not actually wounded. In hand to hand combat, my Leader was put out of action. The tide of battle was turning in House Eschers favour...

At the start of my turn I decided to bottle. I know it may sound like it was a bit premature, but a lot of Necromunda is about damage limitation. With my Leader out of action, and Mad Donna about to charge my heavy, I believe I made the right decision.
