1973 Buick LeSabre

This car was purchased for $50 from a guy in Seattle.
It was the color of split-pea soup and had a major over-heating problem.
We ripped the radiator shroud out in the guy's driveway and drove it home!
Many lessons were learned with this first attempt at building a demo car:
1) Never touch anything you have just been welding.
2) Never leave the windshield in. (Go for the 1/4" steel mesh instead!)
3) Don't over-pad your steering wheel.
4) Invest in a real 5-point racing harness- and keep it cinched tight!
5) A "mandatory firewall" in demo means protecting the driver from the fuel cell.

This car was hit so hard in the rear-end that the differential
was cracked in half like an egg. But never fear- a new
rear-end and a funky new paint job and this car was ready
to re-emerge as The Purple People Eater!
