Early Winter Morning on Carp Lake
I took this early morning photograph January 4th, 1999 from my back deck looking Southwest towards Mt. Rainier, overlooking Carp Lake. I get beautiful scenes every morning from the constantly changing moods and colors of the sky which are reflected in the lake.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY?
Can you believe Gerry's CHRISTMAS CACTUS - being in full bloom in JULY 1999? He got it out of the garbage can of an elderly lady in Port Angeles several years and he says it has never bloomed like this before. Here he's been keeping it in the "greenhouse" of the spa which we never use as a spa anymore and are considering turning it into a full blown greenhouse - this is an arguement for it if I ever saw one. I know the quality of the picture isn't too good but as the color from my digicam appeared way off on my monitor, I had to try to rework the picture in my graphics program to make it more realistic and I'm still a novice at it. But, enjoy the beauty of it for whatever it's worth and don't sweat the details.
