When I began my quest in 1994 looking for "just one Field" little did I realize how strong an influence that one dog would have on the direction I was headed in dogs. After 20 plus years devoted to Flatcoats the change was dramatic and positive. In early summer 2002 we said goodbye to our last Flatcoat. While I'll always have a place in my heart for Flatcoats, Field Spaniels are my passion. Feel free to e-mail me to learn more about Fields in general or about my dogs in particular. At Arborfield health and temperament are very high on the priority list. I may be looking for 'the perfect showdog' but health and temperament are just as important in family companions as in show dogs! Please note that the Field Spaniel is not the same as a *field-bred* Springer Spaniel. Don't know the difference? Pictured above is Baylee-the coolest dawg in the world, shown winning a Best In Show. Baylee was only the second Field to be awarded a BIS in the US! Also pictured retrieving from water, and just sittin' pretty.
