readers' rides

The first Reader's Ride is Don Townsend's car, in beautiful Wisconsin. His car is quite unique, as it's the only Can Am I have heard of having a tan ("Buckskin") and white interior. Don writes, "We purchased the car 6/5/99 from the Volo Antique Auto Museum, in Volo IL. Car was on consignment there, and If memory serves me correctly, the owner lived in Chicago, IL. It had a little over 51,000 miles on the odometer. We received documentation from Pontiac Historical Services stating that the car had been originally sold by the Charlie Sturgill Motor Co, Inc., Lexington KY. Unfortunately, there was no build sheet with the documentation. Checked under the rear seat, and on top of the gas tank, but no build sheet. A previous owner had begun some restoration work on the car, and may have removed the build sheet."

This C/A came with the following options:

Below are links to pics of Don's car. The passenger is Don's buddy Candy. "Candy is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel, and follows me everywhere. Candy knows where each car is supposed to be parked, and if one is not where it should be, she walks around the vehicle, crying, until we let her in it. She is content to just sit in the vehicle, as she knows she will at least get to ride into the garage." ...Thanks for the pics Don!!
