When we examine the two photographs, it is easy to realize that they are both the same object. What one probably does not realize, is that the objects are two different sizes. The smaller object is not a farther away , per se, but has grown dimensionally smaller. I revealed this in my magazine feature on this case. You can perform your own analysis on this object and compare your analysis. I'll give you a clue that will get you started. Compare the size of the object to a nearby landmark for each object and determine a value for each. Compare the two values.
