Suffering and Remedy in The Book of Job

" can a man be just before God? If one wished to contend with him, on could not answer Him once in a thousand times. He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength—who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—he who removes mountains, and they know it not...who seals up the stars; who alone stretched out the heavens...who does great things beyond understanding, and marvellous things without number.

Lo, he passes by me, and I see him not; he moves on, but I do not perceive him..."
(Job 9.2-11)

"Oh, that I knew where I might find him, that I might come even to his seat! I would lay my case before him and fill my mouth with arguments. I would learn what he would answer me, and understand what he would say to me."

"Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him; on the left hand I seek him, but I cannot behold him; I turn to the right hand, but I cannot see him.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
(Job 23.8-10)
