IRISH POTATO BREAD

1 1/2 lb. loaf- -OR- -*1 lb. loaf

5/8 cup milk * 3/8 cup milk
1/4 cup potato water* 1/4 cup potato water
3 cups all-purpose flour * 2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup plain mashed potato, * 1/4 cup plain mashed potato

at room temperature * at room temperature
1 1/2 tsp. salt, *1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbs. sugar, * 1 Tbs. sugar
1 1/2 Tbs. butter, * 1 Tbs. butter
1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast, * 1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast

Place the ingredients in the bread pan,
insert it into the bread machine,
select a light crust setting and press "start.

BLARNEY STONE BREAD

1 c Oats, Quaker Quick
1 1/4 c Milk
1 Egg Beaters
3 c Flour, White Bread
1 1/2 tsp.
Salt 1 1/2
Tbsp. Applesauce
3 Tbsp. Honey
3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Ginger, ground
1/8 tsp. Cloves
2 tsp. Yeast

Crust - light Place all in bread pan,
select Light Crust setting, and press start.

CHOCOLATE CHIP BREAD

1 pk Yeast
3 c Bread flour
2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
2 Tbsp. White sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
4 Tbsp. Soft butter
1 Egg
1 c Warm milk
1/4 c water
1 c Chocolate chips (6 -oz pk)

Place all ingredients except chocolate chips
into the pan in the order listed,
select white bread and push "Start".
When the machine "beeps" 5 minutes
from the end of the second kneading,
add the chocolate chips.

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted all ingredients
should be at room temperature.
This can be mixed on manual of the bread machine.
After Second kneading, remove dough from machine,
divide into to equal portions
and place in small loaf pans.
Cover and let rise to double,
about 45 min to 1 hour.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min.

BROWNIE BREAD

1 c Water
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 tsp. Active dry yeast
3 c Bread flour
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. Oil
1 Egg ,1 Egg yolk
1/2 c Walnut pieces

Bring the water to a boil.
Add the cocoa and stir until completely dissolved.
Let cool to room temperature.
Add the cocoa and all remaining ingredients except the nuts
in the order suggested by your manual.
Select raisin bread setting.
Press Start. Add the nuts at the beeper.

CINNAMON BREAD

3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk,(soured with 2 tsp. vinegar)
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
Mix shortening, sugar. Then add eggs,
milk, and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and soda.
Add to the first mixture.
Pour half of the batter into a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Sprinkle half the cinnamon mixture over batter.
Add remaining batter and top with rest of cinn/sugar mixture.
Swirl thru with a knife.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes..

COFFEE CAN BREAD

1 pkg. yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/3 cup sugar(divided usage)
1 can (12oz.) Evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. salt
4 to 5 cups flour

Dissolve yeast; blend in ginger, and 1 Tbsp. sugar
Let stand in warm place til bubbly (15 min.)
Stir in remaining 2 Tbsp. sugar, milk,
salt and oil.
Mix on low speed, beat in flour, 1 cup at a time.
Beat in last cup with wooden spoon,
til very heavy and stiff, but
too sticky to knead.
Place in a well-greased 2 Lb. coffee can.
Cover with a well-greased lid.
Let stand til lid pops off.(about 1-1 1/2 hrs)
Discard lid and bake in a 350 degree oven
for 55 - 60 minutes.
Crust will be very brown; brush top with butter.
Let stand 5 - 10 minutes; then
loosen crust; slide from can and let cool
in an upright posotion.

ONE PAN BANANA BREAD

1/3 cup oil
1 1/2 cups, mashed bananas
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 1/3 cups Bisquick
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup nuts; chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan.
Mix all ingredients in pan with fork.
beat vigorously 1 minute.
Bake til tootpick comes out clean.
Approx. 55 - 65 minutes. Cool 5 min. then remove.

FRIED DOUGH

2 cups flour
1 tsp. Bakng powder
1 tsp. salt
1 TBsp. shortening
3/4 cup water
deep pan for frying

Mix all dry ingredients. Work in shortening.
Shape into 6 balls of equal size
Roll out, one at a time, to 1/8 inch thick circle
Cut each into 6 wedges
Fry in Hot Fat( 375 degrees )

ZUCCHINI BREAD MUFFINS

2 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1/4 cup oil
3 eggs
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 cups shredded zucchini
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 400 degrees
Grease bottoms of muffin cups,
or line with baking cups

Mix all ingredients except for Zucchini and nuts.
Beat for 30 seconds to blend well.
Stir in Zucchini and nuts.
Fill cups 2/3 full.
Bake til golden brown,, approx. 15 minutes.
Makes 16 muffins

GRANDMA'S HOME MADE BREAD

1 cup lukewarm water
1 yeast cake or dry pkg.
3 cups flour
2 TBsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Place water in warmed mixing bowl
Add sugar and yeast and stir til dissolved
Add half the flour and salt
Beat hard for about 2 minutes.
Gradually add rest of flour to make
a smooth ball.( approx. 5 minutes )
Cover and allow to stand in warm place
for about an hour or til double
Flatten then shape into a loaf
or 4 small loaves.
Place in greased pan and let rise
about 45 minutes. or til tripled
Place in moderate oven ( 350 ) for
30 to 45 minutes til browned.
Can be brushed with butter while warm
to make crust soft.

JALAPENO - CHEESE BREAD( Machine)

1 1/2 LB LOAF-- 3/4 c Sour cream
1/8 c Water (for -Welbilt/Dak machines add 2 TB More water)
1 Egg
3 c All-purpose or -unbleached flour
1 1/2 Ts Salt
2 TB Sugar
1/4 Ts Baking soda
1 c (4 ounces) grated -sharp Cheddar cheese
3 TB Seeded and -chopped fresh jalapeno -pepper (about 4 peppers)
(-or canned diced jalapeno -peppers)
1 1/2 Ts RED STAR active -dry yeast
(-Welbilt/Dak machines (use 2 Ts RED STAR active -dry yeast)

1 POUND LOAF

1/2 c Sour cream
1/8 c Water (for -Welbilt machine add 1 -tablespoon more water)
1 Egg
2 c All-purpose flour
1 Ts Salt
1 1/2 TB Sugar
1/4 Ts Baking soda
3/4 c (3 ounces) grated -sharp Cheddar cheese
2 TB Seeded and -chopped fresh jalapeno -pepper
1 1/2 Ts RED STAR -active dry yeast

Place all ingredients in bread pan,
select a light crust setting, and press "start".
After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan,
place on cake rack, and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing

LIPTON ONION BREAD

7 oz Water
1 pk Lipton onion soup mix
2 c Bread flour
2 Ts Yeast
Do on white bread cycle, set for LIGHT crust.

HEALTHY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD

1 c -Water
2 TB Vegetable oil
2 1/3 TB Molasses
3/4 Ts -Salt
1 TB Fructose
3/4 Ts Sesame seeds
2 Ts Oat groats; cracked
1 tb Wheat germ
1 tb Oat bran
1 tb Wheat flakes
1 1/2 TB Oats
3/4 c Wheat flour
1 1/2 c Bread flour
2 Ts Yeast
Set machine on white and medium.

FRENCH BREAD

3/4 Cup water
2 Cups White bread flour
1 TBsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Active dry yeast

It's best with a second knead
machine doesn't have, so I turn it off after
the first knead and restart it again.

GOLDEN EGG BREAD

1 pk Yeast
3 c Bread flour
4 TBsp. Sugar
2 Eggs
6 TBsp. Vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
3/4 c Warm water

Place all ingredients in the pan in the order
listed, select white bread and press "Start".
After Second kneading, remove dough from machine,
divide into to equal portions and place in small loaf pans.
Cover and let rise to double, about 45 min to 1 hour.
Bake at 350 f. for 35-40 min.

CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD

1 pk Yeast
2 TBsp. Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 1/4 c Warm milk
3 c Bread flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 TBsp. Butter
2/3 c Raisins

The raisins get chopped up (you can add them later if you like after the first rise)
and it smells heavenly and tastes wonderful waking up to this, hot out of the baker!
Note: No instructions provided. Use normal bread making procedures.

CARROT SPICE BREAD

2 1/4 c Bread Flour
1 TBsp. Powdered milk
1 tsp. Salt
1 TBsp. Butter
1/4 c Carrots; grated
2 tsp. Allspice
1 TBsp. Honey
3/4 c Water
1 tsp. Yeast

Bake (Rapid) mode may be used.
Place all ingredients (except liquids and yeast) inside the bread pan.
Add liquid ingredients.
Close cover and place dry yeast into the yeast holder.
Press start.

CHEESE 'n ONION BREAD
1 1/4 c Milk
2 TBsp. Butter
1 TBsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1/8 tsp. Paprika
3 1/2 c Flour, bread
1 pk Yeast; 2 to 3 tsp.
1 c Cheese, Cheddar; shredded
1/3 c Onion, red; minced

Measure ingredients into baking pan according
to order recommended by your machine.
Select "raisin bread" setting.
NOTE: 1-1/8 cups water and 1 tbs. powdered milk may be used instead of 1-1/4 cup fresh milk.

(1 1/2 pound loaf)

9 oz Water
1 1/2 TBsp. Applesauce (oil)
2 TBsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
3/4 c Cornmeal
1/4 c Whole wheat flour
3 TBsp. Taco seasoning
2 c Bread flour
1 1/2 tsp. Yeast

Select white bread setting
Tastes like a taco...great with chili.

WHOLE WHEAT BREAD (Machine)

2 1/2 tsp. Yeast, dry
1 1/2 TBsp. Sugar
2 1/4 c Flour, bread
1 1/2 TBsp. Milk, dry skim
3/4 c Flour, whole wheat
4 1/2 tsp. Shortening or sweet butter
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1 1/4 c Plus 1 T lukewarm water

Put dry yeast in inner pot. Add all remaining ingredients except water.
Carefully pour in lukewarm water. Press button for white bread.
Press the Start button.

ALMOND POPPY SEED BREAD

1/2 cup water
2 cups bread flour
1 TBsp. dry milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 TBsp. butter
1/4 cup lemon yogurt, lowfat
1 1/2 TBsp. honey
1/4 cup almonds -- sliced and toasted
2 tsp. lemon peel
2 TBsp. poppy seeds
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 tsp. yeast.
Bake on regular cycle.
