Welcome to my little section of the web. (page 3, anybody?)(never mind, nobody gets it....)

I am the oldest of three sisters related by blood, and in the middle of a few brothers and sisters that aren't (you know who you are). My parents divorced when me and my middle sister were still small and both soon remarried (not each other), and are still married. A few years later my baby sister was born. A couple years after that I met one of my best friends, Tad. She was someone I just clicked with. We got into mild trouble together for years, until she had Rebekah, who calls me Aunt Lori, and then we goofed off some more. Somewhere in there I met my other best friend, Ken (he doesn't have a page and we are all thankful). Then after that Tad got herself married and joined the Army and was stationed far, far away. Now we get into mild trouble apart and I have another niece, and a question mark (read: niece or nephew, nobody knows yet, but Brent's apparently hoping for a boy) on its way. She's due back here in March, though (much excitement!!!) I was basically bored throughout my required time as a student and graduated without distinction, so I arranged to spend more time in school and switched to the local junior college. It is much more fun and interesting than high school (like that's hard to do). I'm due to graduate whenever I get my act together and decide what to do. UPDATE: My current interest of longer than a couple weeks is in architecture. We'll see how long that lasts, but for now I'm looking to attend the University of Washington, possibly next year (or the year after, or the year after that, or the year after that....).

So that's more personal information than you wanted to know. Now for the relevant stuff:

These are a few of my favorite things.....(not necessarily in this order).....

In case you hadn't noticed, I like dragons. They are cool. If you like dragons too, may I suggest adopting? Also check out a wonderful artist, Michael Whelan at Glass Onion Graphics. He does the dragons for Anne McCaffrey, Melanie Rawn, and other stuff. Not all of it's dragons, but all of it's very good. More importantly, he is my all time favorite artist. I have other favorites, but I like his work the very best.

I also love to play games: role playing, computer games, card games, just about anything that will not cause me or someone else to no longer be living beings.

I love to read, especially fantasy and science fiction novels, but just about anything with a plot. If you've read anything interesting lately, drop me a line. I am always looking for good books to read. I used to have a list of things I've read recently up here, but I read more than I remember to update this page... in other words, it was very lame and had to die.

I enjoy beautiful things. My definition of beautiful may not match your definition of beautiful. My art teacher once defined another word as something that evokes an emotional reponse. I rather like that definition for beautiful, but I think I define beautiful as something beyond surface pretty. It is something that makes you look a little deeper to find the fascinating point that person or creation revolves around. Anyway, some of the most beautiful things on the web I have seen (and my biggest reason for getting this page) reside here. If you are looking for something special for your page, this is definately the place to look. Just don't forget to follow the eleventh commandment.

Well, that's about it. I hope you weren't too bored by the obligitory "This is me and my life" page. Enjoy the rest of your journey, wherever it may take you.

Where I got the dragons....
