Elvis Stojko has decided to stay eligible

For the next World championships, which are going to be Brisbane, Australia. He is going after his fourth title and reign the throne once again.

Elvis Stojko says "I want to keep pushing myself as an athlete" referring to

the wise decision of staying amateur.

Due to his decision to compete as an

Amateur he is going to compete in two Grand Prix Events, Skate America, which will be held in Colorado Springs in October and Skate Canada in Saint John the following week.

He knows that being a figure skater is

difficult and due to that he set up a scholarship program that will provide

To the upcoming young skaters

 

Elvis Stojko is currently working with

Tim Woods. Elvis decided to depart from his long time coach, Doug Leigh.

Although they remained best friends. His

Decision did not affected the friendship that he has with his former long time

Coach.

Elvis Stojko left Doug Leigh in May and decided to move to Philadelphia where he will train part-time. He will also train in Ontario, Richmond and in California

With the 1969 & 1970 US champion, Tim Wood. Although he left his long time coach he didn’t left his choreographer Uschi Keszler.
