"Journey" is our newest 2008 addition to AngelHeart-Eskies.

She's a sassy little girl, the only one from a litter of seven puppies! Journey is a spunky little girl and she made sure her six brothers toed the line.

She's aptly named for the past seven years of a time in my life that has been just that.  "A Moment In Time" which has been a journey of adjusting, learning, healing and growing. And the fact that I had to journey to Arizona to bring her home to Seattle.

Here she is already getting that show gaiting down.  With her brother Wiggles, now known as Conner, behind her watching her.   It's as if she's saying... "Here ya go, watch me... This is how it's done!"

This is one of my favorite shots of her.  She looks as though she's planning her next adventure.  LOL.  I love the sweet look on her face but I'm afraid that it's just a guise that she hides behind.  If she's not stealing socks she's looking for other things to keep us on our toes.  But, I wouldn't change these puppy days for anything, they grow up so darn fast!  I plan to relish these days as she will probably be my last puppy for quite a while.

She wasn't home for very long before she learned how to jump up on the couch. This is the view I usually get when I turn around from my computer. She's always watching me trying to figure out what I'm going to do next. I'm positive her cohorts in crime (Mercy, Faith, Hope & Ruby) have taught her how to jump on the couch, along with quite a few other things.  LOL!

UKC CHAMPION UPDATE!!!!!

Journey competed in the annual Washington Classic held July 5th & 6th of 2008.  She went into the competition with 15 class points out of the hundred that she needed and no majors acquired yet.  There were three shows offered, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.  At the tender age of 8 months she earned all but 4 class points and all three majors that weekend including three Best Of Breed, three Group #1 Northern Group and three Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Shows.  Those wins placed her #6 in the UKC Top Ten for August being the only class dog listed with 9 other Grand Champions on the list.  Below are photos of that weekend.

Journey completed her Champion title under Judge Lynn Martin at the Longview show a couple weekends later earning another Major as Best Female.

UKC GRAND CHAMPION UPDATE!!!!!

I have a BIG brag for Journey.... She finished her Grand Champion title January 24, 2009 taking 3 Best Of Breed's, 2 Group #2's a Group #1 and a Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Show at the Arizona show held in Phoenix.

To say we are proud of our girl is an understatement!  Journey is a multiple Best In Multi-Breed UKC Show winner and multiple Reserve Best In Multi-Breed UKC Show winner.  We're excited to see how she progresses as she continues to mature into the lovely lady we envision that she will.

Here are some pictures of her AKC show wins.  Journey finished her AKC Champion title in June 2009 at 19 months of age.  We plan to show her in International competition in February 2010 and also travel to Canada for their shows in 2010 since the American Eskimo Dog is now recognized in the Canadian Kennel Club.

"Journey"

A very big thank you to all our judges that have placed Journey in her wins.  An even bigger thank you to her breeders, Vada & Jim Binick and Kit Kelly for allowing us the pleasure of caring for this lovely little girl.  Her pizazz and sparkle in the ring is refreshing but her sweet temperament and loving nature supersedes any and all trophies she may acquire in her show career.  After all the shows and accolades and they are retired from the show ring, they are foremost our beloved pet and companion for the rest of ours and their precious lives.

Here's a link for our on-going photo album for Journey.  I plan to continue to add to it as she grows. Come back and visit often and watch our newest addition as she matures and continues her conformation career!
