Hello out there!

As you've been informed, I'm doing to mixing for this tribe.

Sometimes they can be quite annoying (Sorry guys), 'cos they wont listen to me, and think they know best what the sound has to be like. But honestly, most of the time they dont have a clue... which is good so, as it leaves me a lot of room to do whatever I like. ;)

Right then: I was born in the same year, on the same day, in the same room by the same mother as Herb. Frankly, this is probably the main reason for me being part of the band. Not the most important or influential part, but anyway.

And now, to bore you out of your heads:The story of the present CD

The thing was recorded live on a prehistoric four track tape recorder, drums, bass and gits, that is, and then digitalised with another old tool. All the vocals and the additional instruments (giutars, melody licks) are hard disk recordings. We mixed the tracks digitally with minimal repair work, so most of what you hear is still unchanged, a semi live recording, so to speak. There are some room simulator effects, some echos, a bit of equalizing and the odd compressor, but that's it. Apart from the fact that we didnt have any better equipment - nor the money for a proper studio - we (I) hope the CD represents the way Wacko Tribe sound on stage.

See you on the next gig,

mani.
