Want to be part of Pagan Pride Day Vermont? We are currently looking for Merchants, volunteer instructors, and volunteer staff. Merchants and instructors please click here., staff click here.
-Merchant's Row: 3 Merchant Booths, 1 Informational Booth, and possibly 2 more. If you are interested in having a booth I need need your information and tax id by Tuesday as I am sending paperwork to the Burlington Parks Department on Wednesday.
-Workshops: Currently, I have information on 6 adult workshops, 1 organized children/family workshop, and Dani has put together activities to keep the kids entertained. Though we need to make sure parents know it is NOT a babysitting service and they are still responsible for their child. The adult workshops will run for an hour and 15 minutes with a 15 minute break between.
-Ritual: Sali is working on that and is, I believe, still looking for volenteers to help her. The ritual will be held durning the band's intermission and should be kept to 30 minutes or less.
-The front desk will also be first aid. Brrasie and Susan will come up with a list of needed items for the first aid kit. (Which can be fully donated or loaned for the day.) They have a table, two chairs, and a tent as well as dressings for the table, literature and literature stands. Everyone will be expected to give a hand at the desk so Brrasie and Susan can join in the activities. It doesn't have to be physically "manned" but someone needs to be keeping an eye on it at all times as there will be money sitting there. Front desk is also in charge of collecting donations (pointing to the box (food) or can (money)) and selling the raffle tickets.
-The children's area also has a tent and table. Dani is "manning" that area and again will need breaks now and again. Dani will also come up with a list of needed/wanted items for her area again for donation or loan.
-The children's area will be "roped off" to give our little ones boundaries. We will also "rope off" an entrance into the event.
8/22/2005: Second yardsale has yet to happen. We're just going to hold the goods for PPD. Applications for Workshops and Vendors were due on the 17th of August but the deadline has been extended to the 27th for vendors and the 1st of September for Workshops. Both can be emailed to the address above.
6/25/2005: We had the yardsale today. It brought in $40, it was a very slow day. Suzanne is going to attempt it again at her house on Sunday July 3 for a couple of hours. She is RIGHT on Main St. in Jeffersonville and gets lots of traffic that is coming and going through the notch.
6/15/2005: Okay, so the yard sale has yet to happen. Life and the weather both seem to be hindering this. It has been re-scheduled for Saturday June 25th. Drop an email if you have anything to donate (items or time). 4/20/2005: We'll be having a yard sale on Saturday May 28th in Essex. Please contact Suzanne or Robin if you have anything you wish to donate items or time. 4/5/2005: It's official! PPD Vermont will be held at Battery Park in Burlington. The move was due to the severe restrictions that the city of Montpelier has regarding outdoor events. This year we hope to have more activities, including children's activities, as well as a band. Stay tuned for more info! 1/19/2005: We've begun serious planning for this year's PPD. We've also decided to add two other events, a Beltane and Samhain Ball. Drop me an email for more information. moonwitch2000@yahoo.com
