I purchased a couple Alpine dairy goats to offset the cost of milk for the calves. It didn't take long to discover that raising goats was what I wanted to do.
I started with breeding the Alpine does with a Boer buck, and have had very good luck with getting a quality meat animal, with the added benefit of higher milk production from the does.
My main purpose is to raise and sell quality market animals. But I also sell them as pets, 4H, and brush control.
