epiphany
something exploded inside me that night,
my skin sealed against yours
and my limbs pulling you in for warmth.
I felt something give way and for the first time
I wasn’t scared at all
if you knew every tiny detail about me.
you draped an arm over the dip between my hip and breast
that forms when I lie on my side,
pulled me against you so your stomach touched my back
and I realized just how well
we fit together.
