Halford: Resurrection (2000) Rob is back with what might be the best "Judas Priest" album in years!! Produced by Roy Z, this album is white-hot! The backing band is awesome and the recording is unmatched!
Opeth: Blackwater Park (2001) The powerful Opeth is at it again with another progressive metal masterpiece. I'm not usually into death vocals (although there are clean vox too), but Opeth's music is truly amazing to behold. A new millenium version of a cross between early Maiden and early Fates Warning.
Amorphis: Am Universum (2001) The follow-up to the awesome "Tuonela," this album isn't as heavy as previous Amorphis outings, but the songwriting is superb and that same electric undercurrent is there.
