We must preserve racial and religious harmony. Though many races, religions, languages and cultures, we pursue one destiny.
Racial and religious harmony is critical in a small island like Singapore, if this mutual understanding collapses, our country would almost certainly be in complete chaos and the country would fall.
Fortunately for us, this racial and religious harmony is already installed for us by our forefathers, who went through times where racial and religious harmony were not present. Singapore owes it success to its religious and racial harmony , therefore we should ensure its continuation at any price.
Singapore is a role model to other countries which have frequent racial and religious riots. Therefore we should be more active in encouraging other contries to follow our example.
Every Singaporean must pursue one destiny despite his or her race religion culture and language, that is, to ensure the survival and prosperity of Singapore.
Only when we are united, can we stand against hostile powers of the outside world, no matter in what aspect, military or economically or politically.
As for myself, I would do what I can to ensure racial and religious harmony as an individual, and I hope to see the continuation of this system forever.
