The Era Of Euro Arrives

EMU is the greatest European project to come along since 1648 (the Peace of Westphalia, if you care). It could have an economy larger than America's--worth $8.6 trillion, potentially. Experts say the single currency, euro, will someday rival the dollar. EMU is really going to happen.

I feel that if EMU is going to help the world economy, then it would be the greatest monetary project of mankind. I support EMU, as it would bring greater wealth to the world and the parts of the world still in poverty. As for the potential dangers of EMU, I do not really understand what they are and what they might cause, I hope experts would solve the problem.

I hope to get to have the EMU currency when it is launched, as it marks the start of a new millenium. For now, we would just have to wait.
