Master Sandman on our web pages there is a greetings order. The slaves of Gorean Shores and the slaves of Masters Who are pledged to our home know of this order and adhere to it.

Greeting Order
You are expected to greet the Council of Captains first, Advisors secondly, Mentors thirdly, then Captain Emeritus, if any are present. Next you will greet any Pledged Male Patrons of Gorean Shores then other Free Men, any Pledged Free Women of Gorean Shores present, any other Free Women, the GSfg, and the GSsg. They are to be greeted before you may greet any kajirae/slaves. Do not greet fellow slaves until they have been given permission to enter and are in the room.
For personally owned kajira if your Owner is in the room and they are the One that granted entry, greet them first and ask permission to greet the others. After getting permission to greet, use the above order of greeting also. If Your Owner is in Gorean Shores but another Master/Mistress has given you permission to enter, go to your Masters/Mistresses feet, greet Them then beg your Owner to greet the others. Once permission is granted, you may then greet in the order above. If your Master/Mistress is not in the room, please follow the above order

In the OLD days there was a rule about greeting captains first, then owners, then whom ever... as I remember.. but only in the tavern I think.... the forum had a rule about NO greeting, NO cross talk ( meaning NO talking to others OPENLY when the forum was on ) on * snuggeling up to master, no kissing my slave, in essence no crap that made it so damn hard for the scribes to copy what was said .... and * I * agree with that......

The Greeting order is in our manual, slaves are taught it as the very first lesson of a white silk.
Free Persons of course greet how They wish, but it is flicka's experience that most greet the Captains first at the very least.

Scratches My head and tries to rememebr ... no i donīt think an Free every made a shitstorm when the greetings got mixed up by a slave - i only rememebr that the girl got in a friendly way instructed and nobody took that order over seriously.
It get taught to the slaves and helps them to elarn about the ranks of the different people of GS but no one flips when the order gets fussed up a bit.

A long time ago, when flicka and Jarl Keeper were quite new to GS flicka started up a role play in the Role play room about a little creature who was lost and hungry, but alas it is hard to role play on one's own, and no one else saw fit to make any inputs to it.
