Clue

"Clue", in my opinion, is one of the funniest comedies ever made. And considering the amount of movies I watch, that's really pretty damn good.

The movie is based off of the popular game by the same title. Six strangers are all invited up to a creepy old house late one stormy night, told that a certain person has something that he wishes to discuss with them.

All of the guests are thoroughly confused by this proposition, but all come anyway. They are each given an alias, a name to use for their own protection instead of their real one.

While eating dinner, a Mr. Body shows up, though the host still hasn't made an appearance. Wadsworth, the butler, invites the guests to all adjour to the study so they could find out just why they are there.

It is revealed here that every single one of the guests has been blackmailed for what they can afford and in some cases for more than what they can afford. Everyone except for one person; Mr. Body. "Oh, haven't you guessed." Wadsworth says. "He's the one that's been blackmailing you all." He tells them that the police are already on their way, and because they have all revealed their secrets to one another, there isn't a way that Mr. Body can hold the secrets over their heads. Because blackmail depends on secrecy, Mr. Body now lords nothing over them.

Mr. Body here presents each of the guests. A wrench, a candlestick, a revolver.....oh, you know what I mean. Mr. Body suggests that someone kill Wadsworth when he turns out the lights, because with him gone, they wouldn't have to go through the public humiliation of having their secrets exposed to the press. He turns off the lights, but when they come back on he is the one dead, not Wadsworth.

Then they find the cook dead in the kitchen. Who killed Mr. Body? Who killed the cook?

And the body count doesn't stop there. Oh, no.

This movie is odd and funny to the point of being hysterical. The characters are so odd and screwed up in the head that it's a wonder they can keep balanced on two feet.
