Great Expanse Mining Corp. Douglas Martin Katarn. Born on the IO lunar orbital Space platform, he is the son of Marko and Silvia Katarn. Born into a mining corperation, he has grown all his life around ore deposits and cargo haulers. He aquired a formal education from the university of New York, In New York City on earth in Geology. Douglas is a good heardy man, with a sound mind and soul. Caring more about the workers than the product, he is a great leader to work for and an inspiration to his employee;s. Although lacking in combat skills, he is handy with a firearm and keeps a few in his quarters. A hunter, and a fisher Douglas enjoys the outdoor life more than any other lifestyle.A clearly hard working man, his hands are caliced from plam to tip and his face is course. His eyes are sunk into his head a bit and slightly squinted, as if he has spent a great deal of his life in hte bright sunlight. His hair is kept, and he attempts to give a professional appearance, but he is a worker at heart.

Maria IV:

The Maria IV is one of the main interstellar fleet ships of the Great Expanse Mining corp. She is capable of interstellar travel at up to speeds exceeding warp 6. She is 500 meters long with a crew of over 800. Over half of this crew is automated, and a small handful (15) serves as bridge crew and overssers. She has one massive cargo hold capable of hauling over 10,000 metric tons of Any form of cargo. She has two phaser banks, one left and one right used to deturr Asteroids and raiders. Her shields and hull has been reenforced so that it can withstand the attacks of pirates and other threats that may occurr in space.

Bigfoot:

The Bigfoot is one of the many asteroid mining vessels that belong to the Great Expanse Mining Corp. The Bigfoot is 36.8 Meters long, with a very powerful mining laser in the nose of the vessel. There is a tractor beam in the nose to hold the vessel into place as it bores through miles of Rock in zero gravity. She takes a crew of two, and can carry up to Six zero-gravity miners. Her cargo hold is capable of stacking close to 300 metric tons of Ore. There are many mining vessels like her throughout the galaxy.
