Methods Of Calculating Fees For Contract Negotiations
Percentage (contingent fee) The agent takes a percentage of the total dollar value of the contract. (3 to 5 percent is typical.)
Time: The agent charges as hourly rate for each hour spent working for the player usually at the rate of $150 to $500 a hour.
Flat Fee: The agent agrees to negotiate the contract for a predetermined fee regardless of the time spent or the amount of the contract.
