In Memory to MSGT Walter J. Ferris

This page is dedicated to a very loving and kind hearted man.Whom we all loved dearly.This page is all about him and his life.Please read and see for your self how dear he was.

Walter was born and raised in,Jay,New York.December,2,1931.He left this cruel world behind on October,20,1999.His Mother was Mildred Rivers Ferris,and his Father was Sidney Ferris.He had 10 brothers and sisters.He has three sisters living,Beatrice Forbes and Rita Ranson of New York.And Jean Banyas in Michigan.One brother,Benard P. Ferris in Tampa, Florida.

He Joined the U.S.Air Force when he was 18.He fought in the Korean Combat Zone in 1952.Walter was stationed at site 51 when the aliens crashed.He saw the live aliens and also the ones who did not make it.Although he could not ever really talk about it he was there.The war was hard on all those who served.That is when Walter begin to smoke,and That is what shortened his life.

He had been captured during the war and totured.Thank God he made it back alive.He retired after 28 years of service.Here is a Site you should check out it's all true.See for yourself.

The Wall

Walter J. Ferris and Martha Dell Pannell were married on April,1,1987 in Jasper Alabama. Walter has 3 children,Cindy Sprouse and Sharon Gore and Terry Ferris,from previos marriage and Dell has 4 boys,Duel,Henry,Stacy,and Pete,and 2 girls,Diane and Martha from previous marriage,And 17 grandchildren.Together they Loved all 8 children as their own.Yet not always appreciated,But still they loved them just the same.I know that Walter is playing in God's garden with two of his gandbabies,Brandon Sprouse was 5 when he left us and Jackie Sprouse was only 3 months when she left us.God must have needed them more than we did.I'm told he picks only the prettiest flowers and they were precious.I can see the three of them all cuddled up and sleeping peacefully together after a long time of playing.

Walter was a very private,quite type person.Serving in the Air Force for 28 years and spending most all of is time alone,He became a loner.He was a Christian and out right honest person.He was the best teacher you will ever find.Very patient and calm.People loved to come to him with problems he was so easy to talk to and be close to.Yet most did not always like what Walt told them,You see,Walter always told you just exactly how it really was.If you were wrong he would tell you,you were wrong,If you did something wrong he would tell you.If you had a problem and you brought it on yourslef he'd tell you so.

He was so kind hearted and loving,Very tender hearted.He was so easy to hurt.Yet He would always tell you he was sorry even if it was your own fault.

Walt's favorite things: He loved Teddy Bears of all kinds.Thats how we thought of him is a little soft cuddley Teddy Bear.His favorite color was blue.He loved Fish,potatoes,Steak and salad.He was one heck of a cook.Nobody could beat him in the kitchen.His favorite tv shows were,Golden girls,the Discovery channel and Old war movies and documentaries. His hobbies were: T.V.,Feeding birds,He just loved humming birds,Watching all animals and wild life itself.Reading,His pride and joy was to make things beautiful,Building bird houses and Rose gardens and many things of that sort. He worked at Tecumseh Products for 17 years and retired.He really became sick about November 20,1997. Walter had emphysema.He suffered for quite some time,Yet he never complained.He was always worried about others.We know now he is at peace and suffers no more,But we miss him so and we loved him so very much.
