The Tormentors are those members chosen to be the fighters and front line soldiers of the vTx clan. Choosing characters for this occupation we look at the characters Aggressivness, willingness to die in a battle, arena track record and loyalty to past clans.

As the character goes up in rank in his chosen occupation, more responsibility and authority are delegated to the character. The leaders of each class underneath their Lord/Lady are picked based on ability and level. At any time another member of the group may give a notice that they wish to challenge for leadership within their group. How the group handles this will be based on the duties assigned to that class. Only members of equal status to the leader may challenge for authority. The loser drops down one rank.

These are the only "official" members of the clan who may challenge another character to the arena. Other members may only accept or decline the challenges of others. During wartime, the Tormentors will function as the front line of the vTx ranks assisted by the Weavers.

Responsibilities

1. To kill the enemies of the clan.
2. To die with grace and honor.
3. To defend to the death those within the vTx clan and their allies.

Authoritative Allowances

1. Can demand to take the place of another member who has been challenged, effectively disallowing them to accept a challenge to the death.
2. May uphold a KoS ordered by a clan or individual who is affiliated with the vTx.
3. Only a cleric of the same religion within the vTx of equal or greater rank may disallow a Tormentor to participate in a death match. There may be reprocussions from the Dark Council after the fight if they disagree with the Tormentor's challenge however.
