These are the laws the vTx members are expected to abide by. We don't care what laws your clan is governed by, nor will we follow them. We won't waste time rehashing the laws of Odin, those will be followed without exception. The rules listed are for vTx members and hopefuls.

Out of Character Rules

All rules of the Tyrant's Cove/Odin Role Playing game will be adhered to by all members of vTx. Failure to do so can and likely will result in a private reprimand, loss of class-points and possible immediate removal from the vTx clan.

Do not speak of vTx issues to any player outside of those who play vTx characters.

We expect you to roleplay your character as they are designed, following alignments and other information you as a player selected yourself.

Each member in vTx may have no more than one (1) character in vTx at any given time. The only exceptions to this are a)Dark Council First Tier members, who may have no more than two nicks and b) if invited to play a Brethren of the Accused nick which is post exclusive.

No anime for character pics. No this is not a joke. We are not little cartoons, we a are a seriousrole-play faction. You're character picture should show what the character would look like to an onlooker and have some semblence of being realistic. Yes, we are aware demons are not real.

If the opportunity to role-play is presented to you, take it. We expect to see vTx members in several storylines.

God-moding, pro-active role-play and munckinism will not be tolerated. There is no excuse for this. Nor is there anything wrong with whispering ideas for a storyline to another participant before involving them. If there is a chance that a person's character may be lost due to a storyline, don't force them into it. Period. This offense will not be tolerated and will result in your immediate removal from vTx as a player.

In Character Rules

No betrayal of any kind against the clan will be tolerated. If the offense causes the loss of even our weakest member, the offense is punishable by death via an in-clan KoS.

Do not challenge others to a deathmatch. This includes non-members. If you challenge another character to a deathmatch, prepare to have ALL clan points removed on your first offense. If you persist, then vTx will deal with you on an in-clan level by taking the place of the one you challenged.

Defiance of the Dark Council will be met with swift reprocussions. Through roleplay the character will make a forced contrition to the Dark Council. If the character refuses, they will be removed from the ranks of vTx.
Killing of another member not sanctioned by the Dark Council will result in removal from the ranks of vTx and a KoS issued upon the offender. It does not matter whether or not you where the challenger or the challenged in the fight.
No challenging for class leadership during times of war. The requests will be denied.

Do not provoke another clan willfully. If a clan ends up not liking a vTx member for their personality, this is acceptable. If however the vTx member is purposely goading the clan into hostilities the vTx member will be removed fromt he ranks of the clan.

vTx members may mate for life or remain unattached. We do not sanction 'marriages' however. If you want a nice wedding for your character, join another clan. Mating for life is acceptable and the clan has several rituals for proving the worth of a suitor. These are accepted, weddings are not.

Children of vTx members will not be automatically accepted into the clan and will have to enter through standard means regardless of lineage.

Royalty in vTx means simply that the character is the son or daughter of Brok Redman. It does not stretch down the line past his offspring. Royalty has no political power in vTx and they are mainly figureheads and the example of what we expect in a member. Royalty receives 50% more clan points when class specific actions are rewarded.

No worshipping of any Tyrant/Odin deities without the guidance of a member of the Dark Clergy. We are not heathens after all.
There are racial restrictions on the membership for the vTx. No vampires, mortals, fae, cyborgs or robots will be accepted into the clan. Nor will mythical beasts of burden.

Chaptered clans/families are allowed, but they will not gain any of the vTx hit points via recognition unless they wear the vTx at the beginning of their name and submit fully to vTx rules and customs. This includes selecting a class and also takes into account the racial restrictions.

Any rule may be changed at any time. This is a lengthy process however and involves a majority vote amongst the members of vTx sans the Council vote. If the majority of the clan agrees on a change, the Dark Council will then vote on the issue sans the Leader of the Council. Finally the results of the two votes will be brought to the Leader of the Dark Council to put authorized. If the new law is authorized the change will be noted in brackets on the law page undearneath the original laws for a period of 3-7 days before becoming official. The old rule will be displayed but scored through to show it has been amended.
Note that each class has it's own set of rules. These class-specific rules overshadow the rules found here. If you have a question about doing something, check your class-specific rules first, if no mention is made of what you seek, check here. If it's not listed, chances are it's safe. If you still think you may be doing something wrong, refer to the leader of your class. They will find out for you.

Our expectations of players

Every recognition review period we expect to see two storylines in which your character has been active.

The following information must be sent to Dethstryk1978@hotmail.com within 7 days of notification of acceptance into the clan. Failure to do so means removal. Toldoth IRC Nickname, valid email address, username for the posting board on voevod.com, and a copy of your character registration.

A brief character biography to be linked to the members page.

A well-fleshed out character. We don't want a bunch of stats running around with our crests, we want a bunch of imaginative ficticious beings running around in our crests.

If you are going to be on an extended hiatus, let someone know. We realize that sometimes that isn't possible, but try whenever possible.

Find a buddy within the clan to help you keep track of your clan points as you accumulate them. Logs are good, posts are better. Make sure you have a vTx witness however, or a GM that can vouch for you.

If a crime is punishable by removal from the clan, a Tempter may petition the Dark Council to have the member placed into the class known as the Plague-bearers. This will stop the exile of the character, but has it's own disadvantages. The Dark Council must agree unanimously that this is an acceptable alternative.

For dealings with non-members we have a caste system.

Demons and Angels are respected above all others. This means that they are potential members or allies at the least.

Dragons and other powerful beings are next on the list. They have abilities that are to be respected for what they are, dangerous. A true dragon can match a demon in combat equally and they have the same basic wants in the world. Power, possessions, and glory.

Other less powerful supernatural beings fall below the more powerful one. These creatures can be used as puppets to attain what we want. They make excellent cannon fodder too. Such creatures include giants, were-creatures, and other human-sized beings of supernatural origins.

The lesser beings in the world, humans, fae folk, cyborgs, robots, and their brethren are beneath our notice. These people are our food and good for manual labor and slave trade.

Vampires are despicable abominations. They are as far beneath our notice as peons are to kings. These creatures are not even truly alive, they are worse than robots in that they destroy our slaves and food sources to pro-create.
