My 1970 Buick Skylark Custom

This is the build journal of my 1970 Buick Skylark. Purchased on 10/13/2007.

So far I have completely redone the interior in black, new carpet, seat covers, and repainted panels and dash.

I have also swapped out the original 2bbl 350 for a '72 350 with a cam, long tube headers, aluminum intake manifold, and 800cfm quadrajet carb. It is mated to a rebuilt 350 tranny with a 2800 stall converter.

I then ground all of the surface rust off of the exterior and laid down 2 coats of gloss black paint. I have at least 4 more coats to go.

Lastly, I purchased a set of Cragar S/S wheels, 14x7 front and 15x8 rear. I'll buy a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's in the next couple weeks and have the set mounted by the end of the month.

I'd love to have the car restored by my birthday on February 16th.
