History
Blix was born into one of the last Goblin tribes to inhabit the Tanglethorn Swamp. His mother was the tribal shaman and it was never known who his father was, but assumed to be the tribes Chieftain, after he took the boy into his estate after his birth.
Soon after his birth his father though would abandon and shun the frail sickly boy. Blix was born with the disease 'black lung' that made him prone to coughing fits, wheezing and shortness of breath. It would be his mother though that took some measure of pity on the child and began crudely instructing him in ways to manipulate the innate and laden arcane talents within himself. Eventually and despite his illness, Blix became a potent and skilled witch doctor surpassing his mother in raw ability but not rank.
Greedy, petty and jealous of all those who had scorned him for his sickness and even his mother for restricting his advancement in the tribe, Blix would have his revenge. The night of his maturation ceremony he would poision his mother and various other tribal members, in one fell swoop securing his position. His assumed father, the tribes chief, after witnessing how underhanded and treacherous the boy was even at this stage in his existence again welcomed him back into his estate, now as their tribe's senior magician and holder or arcane lore.
