Description


Centaurs are a proud race, originally human as far as Sages can find for history, which occurred during the war between the Wood Elves and Humans. Magical bastardizing of a species is frowned upon by all, but regardless it happened. There is rumor though that there were Centaur-like races before the war, and that these beings may have taken in the new version as their own... blending the species to acquire the strengths and wisdom of each. The mysterious half man, half horse is in legends, but whether they relate to the current race is hard to say.

Requirements For Play

Appearance


  • Lower Torso: Horse/Pony body and legs.

  • Upper Torso: Human, abdomen (at belly button) up to head.

  • Hair, mane, & tail must all be the same color.

  • Human appearance requirements apply to upper torso.

  • Lower torso must retain normal horse/pony structure and coloring, but patterns are allowed.

  • Merged Anatomy: They have a merged mix of organs, with special extensions or connections at some points. They have two stomachs connected by an unknown organ that acts similar to an esophagus to move the food along from one to the other. The first human stomach is able to allow for the consumption of meat while the second equine stomach finishes the nutrient absorption and breaks down grass or lettuce easier. Their lungs are in the human upper torso, but larger and stronger than average humans to make up for the extensive travel and strain of the circulatory system. They have 2 hearts, one located by the elbow in the equine torso, and the other in the left side of the human chest. For Aimed Shot kills, it would require 2 shots in order to kill the Centaur by its heart(s). If one heart fails, stats are reduced to half. Normal LP death still applies.

  • Doubled AGL at Registration

  • Can carry 1 large or 2 medium passengers on back. AGL Reduced by 10 or Cut in Half (Whichever is Less)

  • +4 Running, +2 Charisma, +2 Intimidation

  • +2 DMG w/ Ranged Attacks

  • Resistant to Earth Magic

  • +1 to Init rolls due to heightened awareness of surroundings.


Race Drawbacks


  • Defined as a 'beast creature' and non-humanoid.

  • Fire Weakness

  • +2 DMG from blunt weapons

  • Very Large/Heavy Body - GM Discretion

  • Cannot equip footwear or humanoid attire/armor below chest.

  • Cannot fly, cannot dive underwater.

  • Does not have the exceptionally heightened sight/smell that equine do.

Pregnancy

To Procreate, Partner Must Be:
Centaur only. Age of maturity is considered 36 AY.

On a d100 roll (pregnancy):
80-100 Unsuccessful
30-79 One Child
1-29 Twins

Gender (d2 roll):
1 = Female
2 = Male

Child’s race:
Centaur, appearance of parent's choosing.

Pregnancy starts in the human uterus (evolved to be stronger and expand further, connecting to the equine uterus) which in the end of the third trimester moves the fetus into the area of the equine uterus before being born.

*Relations w/ normal Equine will NOT produce offspring. And its just weird so don't do it!

Natural skills will be available to your character upon registration and don't need SP to unlock, but SP can be used to make some stronger.
